I haven’t used heat on my hair in a very long time but I decided to try this product and was not disappointed. I didn’t have to do many passes (I did blow out my 4C hair prior), easy to use, and got great results quickly that lasted for about two weeks here in Florida, IYKYK. NOTE- The first time I had it at 410 degrees but the second time I used it I went down to 375 degrees because I felt it was too hot at 410. Still got great results.

I had seen this flat iron all over social media and did not believe the hype. And if it was as good as everyone said, then it had to be crazy expensive. I’m so glad I bought this. I’ve never done my daughter’s hair so fast! She has bra length, thick 4b to 4c hair. This got her hair straightened faster and better than ever! It totally lives up to the hype. Great purchase!

Unbelievable!!! I cannot believe how GREAT this product is... I was expecting eh I‘ll try it out and send it back as usual since most of these hair tools can’t deal with my frizzy kinky hair texture ---- but nope! It works good! Literally under 5 minutes! My hair is horrible frizzy wavy out of control usually takes me about 45 mins with a normal flat iron . I did purchase the wheat protectant oil it was approx 15 bucks it’s worth it! My hair before I did it is the 3 rd photo . Just brushed through. First time using this ever one thing is hard for me bc I had hand surgery is that this product is a tad bit heavy. I may just be weak lol!

I had my previous straightener for YEARS and finally it was time to let it go. The TYMO flat iron not only has a brush part that separates and keeps my hair silky smooth but the flat iron part does the job on the ends on my hair. Heat level feels spot on and doesn’t over burn my hair, doesn’t make the room smell like someone lit my head on fire and is so light and easy on my hair, I have used it almost daily and it takes no time at all and I have very long hair. I always have a hard time getting my hair straight at home. This straightener is really good with coils. I wanted to try it out but I couldn‘t wait for wash day. When I say I went from 4C to straight and silky hair in about 10-15 mins, I mean it. Quick and easy to use! It also heats up quickly. The only cons for me is the weight as it’s slightly heavy. The power button is too easy to hit and messes with the temp or turns it off. I wasn’t sure if it would work like the ads. I’m glad I took a chance and got it. Totally worth the money!!

Wow, this straightener works better than any flat iron or other type of straightener I’ve ever used. It’s super easy to use, heats up fast and gives you sleek, shiny hair. You can get close to the root with the brush. As others have mentioned, the flat iron is not tight, but you can easily press the ends together to give you more tension. That being said, you don’t even need the flat iron, just use the brush side. It gives you straight, shiny hair. Haven’t figured out how to put bend in my hair, but I will figure it out. If you hold your hair and guide it through the brush side you won’t burn your fingers. Easiest tool to use hands down.

Honestly, the first half of my hair took a bit longer because I kept having flashbacks from when I was a kid, sitting in my mom’s kitchen, she‘s got a hot comb in hand, and I’m praying that I wouldn’t get burned. But then I realized there’s a barrier between the TYMO hot comb and my scalp. Once I was able to process that, I zoomed through my hair. The TYMO hot comb did phenomenal work! The temperature display is on the handle once it’s turned on, which was a little confusing at first because I thought I had a different model from the manual. You can’t see it while it is off. But as soon as I turned it on, there it was, showing the temp. I set it to 340°F and it heated up super quickly. It was ready to go in about 30 seconds! I also have the TYMO ROVY Compact Beach Waves Crimping/Curling Wand, and that heats up lightning fast too. I love knowing both my tools get up to temp so quickly. Plus, both have an automatic shut-off after 30 minutes, which is such a peace of mind. Although I didn’t even come close to that with my quick styling session. One thing is, it’s a bit tricky to tell where I can safely place my hand without risking a burn. There’s a no-touch zone in the instructions, but no clear markers on the tool itself. A little more guidance there would be helpful! All in all, after just one use, I am totally in love with this TYMO 2-in-1 Dual Voltage Hair Straightening Hot Comb & Flat Iron. I have thin hair and not much of it, it also has a mind of its own (end stage of menopause). Every time I used a flat iron, curling brush etc my hair would lay straight for about a half hour then it would kink back up. Now with this TYMO Flat Iron Hair Straightener my hair doesn’t kink up but stays straight for 2 days!! (I also get some help from: amika detangling primer). The TYMO has a range of settings. I use the next to the lowest setting for my thin hair, it doesn’t dry it out or burn my hair. I was skeptical about spending more for the TYMO than I normally would, but I took a chance and it ended up being one of my best purchases this year.

I love it. I have naturally curly hair. I prefer my hair straight. Been using straighteners for a long time. None really got my hair poker straight. There was always a bit of wave to it. This gets my hair straight. Even after a night of sleep. My hair still looks good! Great product. Only had about a week so hopefully it’s built well and will last. We’ll see. But so far so good! Super, love this tool! I’ve been using it every day which I usually don’t do because it’s usually such a hassle. It’s so simple to use and does such a wonderful job in the fraction of the time that my old flat iron took. I’ve never loved a hair straightener comb/flat iron as much as I do this one. I’ve noticed that others have mentioned this, but the flat iron doesn’t grip the hair properly. If the flat iron had a better grip, it would be more effective. I appreciate the support from Tymo!

This is a Tymo product, so I went into this already assuming it would be a great and I was not disappointed. I have tried a lot of this style of brush straightener as well as flat irons, but this is the first time I have seen them combined into a two-in-one tool. For reference, I have very long, very thick, wavy hair that is pretty coarse and frizzy. I used this on freshly washed and blow-dried hair. I did use heat protectant as well as a hair cream before use. I started with the straightening brush. I usually use the highest heat setting on most tools, but I did feel that the highest setting on this (410 degrees). I had to move down to 375 degrees, but it worked really well on getting my hair pretty straight and smooth. If you‘ve never used this style of brush before, it is not as simple as just brushing through your hair. You do have to hold the hair taut while you use it, but it works great. I then went through with the flat iron and was thrilled with the final results. My hair was smooth, frizz-free, and soft. The flat iron took a little bit to get the hang of. It does not clamp down tightly enough to just pull it through your hair. You have to grab on to the end. I was worried it would be too hot to touch because of the brush but it wasn’t. There is a spot about the end of the brush that is a perfect spot to hold and it stays cool. My hair stayed straight and smooth for several days, even in the Texas humidity, so this tool is a hit for me! I also love the two-in-one aspect. It is great for travel!

I wasn’t expecting much from this Hair tool… normally I don’t have very good luck with these hair straightening comb contraptions. But this duo tool was actually pretty nice. It wasn’t as bulky as I was expecting it to be.I have pretty long hair, about 20 inches. It’s fine yet fairly thick. Lots of natural body. If I don’t style it, it’s kind of wavy and rather poofy-frizzy. I posted a photo of my puffy hair so you will see what I was starting with. The heat comb feature doesn’t fully straighten the hair, but with just one or two passes it tames the Hair, making it very easy for the flat iron to do an its job. I do feel like this tool helps shorten the time it takes me to normally straighten my hair. After using this tool, my hair is easily pin-straight. It was effortless.

This works very well. It heats up in no time at all with multiple heart settings. It works well on both my thinner wavy hair and my daughter‘s thicker curly hair. The brush feature is definitely a time saver and the flat side makes it possible to get close to the roots

The comb side straightened to the roots without burning my scalp or hands. Though in the videos, the demonstrators appeared to curl hair, I was unable to curl my hair with the comb side. After reading through the instructions, they indicate as much. I‘m guessing the demonstrators were using the flatiron side for curling. This side is very hot and you will get burned -- glove necessary.

I adore TYMO hair tools! They are the best quality and work so well. This flat iron is the absolute best ever. I’ve been using it constantly since getting it, and I love it. I have kicked my other two hair straighteners to the curb! My hair is so smooth and shiny after using it. I brush my hair out with a regular brush before using the brush side of the straighter so I don’t have any snags. It easily and quickly straightens my hair. I just have to hold the ends of my hair - I can’t quickly pull it through like I would with a regular brush. Sometimes I use the flat iron side for little touchups, such as the baby hairs at my hairline that stick up. I never burn myself using this straightener. The handle is heat resistant and never overheats. I personally find the value to be very good, because this 2 in 1 TYMO hair tool works very well, my hair looks great after, and I use it more than any other hair tool. I love it!

Tymo products are the only heating hair tools I‘ll use from this moment forward for my 4C hair. I’m 66 years old and I have used a lot of hot irons of all kinds over my lifetime. For once, someone got it right for people with very coiled and zigzag curls like mine. I’ve bought three different tools: the original Tymo hair straightener II (works great to straighten, but the power button is in awkward place on the handle, and the design needed an update), the flat iron hair straightener brush 2 in 1 and the hair straightener brush. All three gets excellent temperatures that tames my hair to near bone straight, even the smaller edge hairs! I’ve not accidently burned myself either. The product comes with 1 glove, and the brush came with a comb too. When I’m done straightening my hair, it lasts much longer than normal. I stopped relaxers years ago, and now I can finally enjoy wear my hair straight whenever I want. Shiny, speed to heat, not too heavy to handle the product and hair straightened to almost silk press levels. This woman is very grateful, and I recommend 5 out of 5!

I just received the Tymo Flat Iron Hair Straightener Comb (it isn‘t a brush) this morning and used it on my daughter’s hair. She normally wears her hair natural with curls but wanted to flat iron her hair for an event. We didn’t blow dry her hair, we let it dry overnight. I’m the cynical, non believer type especially when it comes to products that promises made to straighten our hair. However, I’m truly astonished at the results. Not only did it cut the time in half the results were simply unbelievable. Used only the comb side of the tool at 375 degrees, no burning, no smoking, and her hair at best was warm, not burning hot. Was able to get to her roots nice and smooth because the part of the tool that touches her skin doesn’t get hot, hot.

I have naturally 2C/3A hair and it’s hard to find a tool that’s fast and still makes my hair look smooth without absolutely frying it. A regular flat iron usually takes me about 45 minutes because I have to work in small sections and go over them more than once, but with this I’m done in around 20. The comb attachment is what really makes the difference for me because it can straighten larger chunks of my hair in one pass or at most two, which saves so much time. I usually use it at 375 and that’s enough to smooth everything out and control frizz, but there’s also an option to go up to 415 if you need more heat. I mostly use the flat iron attachment just for touch ups in the front or on smaller pieces since it’s pretty thin and would take longer to do my whole head, i do wish the flat iron was a little wider because sometimes I want that ‘sleek‘ look. I havent tried curling with it before/

Might be a little tmi, but I want to give a full picture. I‘m retired and on a fixed income so I’m not always able to afford a hair appointment. Additionally, because of meds, I’ve been struggling with hair thinning / loss. So I’ve learned what products / tools to buy that will help to keep my hair healthy. That being said, you need to know this Tymo straightener is EVERYTHING! I actually only used the brush section cause it took some coordination for me to do the flat iron and transition to the brush section but I’m really pleased!! This is a quality product and my hair is smooth and shiny. I had no concerns about burning and if you do just adjust the temperature. It was a tad pricey but having some reward dollars helped and reduced the price. The inclusion of a really nice paddle brush was a bonus. After blow drying, it took me far less time to straighten my hair than it has in the past. A real thumbs-up!!

I love this tool!I can straighten my natural hair without blow drying first. I just wash, detangle, twist, let dry overnight. Next morning I clip up all my twists except one towards the bottom, untwist it, heat protectant, then one half of the twist at a time goes into the Tymo comb starting at the root moving slowly to end, stretching as I go. It‘s so fast and simple I want to buy these as gifts for friends and family this year (Mother’s Day, birthday, Christmas.) My whole head is done in around 30 mins, if that. I don’t get hot since it goes so fast and there’s no blowing air. I use it at 340 degrees on my 4a/4b hair.

This is so beyond what I was hoping for. I’ve been trying and looking for one that would actually work on my thick curly hair but nope..not till I found this. You need to know what your doing when using this tool first off the hair should be blow dried other wise you will have to section it into extremely small pieces next if you feel like the flat iron isn’t holding the hair u gotta section smaller pieces this worked great for my 13 yo daughters hair she was able to do it herself after a soft blow dry 10/10 recommend

My hair is very curly and this product straightened my hair with on pass. Hair products matter, I use Mizani heat protection products. I was able to maintain my straight style for about10 days.

I’m very impressed by this product. It did an awesome job on my 4C hair!! Heated up fast and straightened my hair extremely well. I’m still in awe. I literally can put my fingers right through my 4C hair. Very smooth and shiny. If you’re on the fence like I was, don’t be. I highly recommend this product.

It worked as expected. There is definitely a learning curve, but it does what it‘s supposed to. Make sure that you have all the knots out of your hair before you use it... otherwise it pulls your hair out.

I totally love this hair straightener. My old one went out. And I heard great things about tymo brand. I thought I would give it a try. It takes me no time at all to do my hair. It’s to easy to use, I don’t have to separate my hair and it is so easy to get the back and the bottom layer of my hair.The only downside is that it’s a little on the heavy side.

I love this hair tool!! My hair is frizzy after I wash and blow dry, no matter the conditioner or leave in conditioner. My BFF would often wash and blow dry and then flat iron, but when I tell you I did it all by myself. My BFF is getting up there in age, she 77 and sometimes she’s just too tired!! Extremely happy with this product. The discribution was dead on. It does heatup quickly and easy to use, will need that glove so you won‘t get burned. At the top of the iron gets extremely hot. You will be happy they placed a sticker marker in that area you have to be careful around!!

I own several TYMO hair tools and when I saw this, I wanted to test it out. The following is the pros and cons list which was constructed from my experience with the product. Pros: 1) It‘s made by Tymo, which is a brand I highly trust. I own about 3 or 4 different hair tools by them and I love every one of them. 2) Like all of Tymo’s other products, this one is very well made with high quality material 3) It’s a 2-in-1 of ceramic straightening brush and flat iron. This can eliminate the need for having 2 separate hair tools. 4) It’s very competitively priced. For the product you’re getting, I would even go as far as to say that it’s quite affordable. 5) The tool heats quite fast. 6) It comes with a full size hair brush and the brush isn’t some cheap thing. 7) It has a really nice weight to it and feels Cons: 1) The flat iron is a bit awkward to use, but I think once I get used to it, it’ll be fine. Overall, I LOVE this new Tymo hair tool and I would very highly recommend this.

I couldn’t believe the feeling of quality when taking this out of the box and using it for the first time. The handle feels like it will last forever so that does mean it’s on the heavier side but it straightened my wavy frizzy head so fast! It was way faster than my solo straightener or my solo straightener brush. On top of that it came with a hair brush in the box. I had no idea it came with a brush too. This is a bit pricey compared to what I normally get but it is worth it. I feel like I have stepped up in the hair tools category. If you want quality tools this is it.

At first, I noticed there wasn’t a lot of tension between the paddles, but it did it’s job and straightened so it was just a matter of getting used to the different feel. I love having two options in one tool. The curved side I found I must come from under the strand of hair. You can’t “brush” it from the top. It heated up quickly which is a must.. Supposedly it causes less heat damage which is important to me with very long hair but not something that I can measure in a short time. Hopefully, this will be true! I like the one button, multiple temp options, and sleek look of this hair appliance.

Also, it looks elegant with its black and purple design and feels well made and substantial, but not too heavy to use. In addition, it has an auto shutoff after 30 minutes and a 360 degree swivel cord, which make it safer and easier to use. Overall, I am very happy with the performance and features of this 2 in 1 flat iron/hair straightener brush by TYMO. I think it’s an excellent quality tool at a good price and would recommend it to others.

This is now my new favorite go-to!Let me start by saying I‘m a white woman with thin hair and extensions... I don’t even put any product in my hair. In the morning I have super poofy hair. I put the iron on in the bathroom, go get dressed, come back to my already ready iron and I use the comb side (which I’ve never used before) “comb" my hair once, use the straight iron for the tips of my hair and the poof is gone and I’m left with silky soft straight hair I’ve been telling everyone how impressed I am with this comb/iron. Definitely, definitely recommend!!

I have a small storage area in the bathroom so I’m always looking for tools that don’t take up a of space. This style is really unique. My goal had been to use both the flat iron with the comb at the same time in the same pass. I couldn’t get both sides to work at the same time of course but it does work individually well. It is on the heavier side, but it’s so heavy that you can’t use that. individually it’s easy to use. I like the brand they usually have a good quality product and I found this to be true of this one. My hair is very fine and curly, but this makes nice soft straight hair.

It’s easier than a traditional flat iron, especially when I’m rushing with the boys in the background, but it does take a couple of uses to get the hang of the angle. Still a good value for the results. I feel like it is hard to get all of my hair inside the brush and I have to go in so many layers that it is not faster than just straightening. Nontheless, its nice to not burn myself and it functions as it should!

I ordered Tymo flat iron hair straightener brush 2 in 1 for me and a family member. I want to curl my hair sometimes. She needs to straighten. Thought this might work out for both of us. It does a really good job of straightening your hair. She liked the results but said it‘s too heavy for her. Curling not so much. I’ll stick with my Tymo curling brush. She won’t use this unless I do her hair, so this won’t replace two tools. Oh well. Regarding value, it’s reasonable at forty dollars.

So I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now and I gotta say it speeds up my morning routine a lot. My hair is naturally super wavy and thick and usually takes forever to get straight but this thing cuts the time down by maybe half. The heat settings are easy to figure out and it heats up quick which is a major plus when I‘m running late.

Amazing. I used it on my wavy hair and it made it smooth with very little effort. The brush side warmed evenly and the plates glided without pulling my hair off. I like that the heat settings are easy to read. It‘s a bit heavy so I probably would not use it for travel. Bit it’s great for daily use. The straightening results looked clean and shiny and the frizz disappeared fast. Curling was not as easy for me but super easy to straighten. I reccomend it.

This TYMO dual flat iron is slim and very convenient. One side is a typical flat iron and the other is a heated comb or ‘hot comb’. This device also came with nice items like black plastic hair brush and heat resistant gloves. The comb side works great on roots and difficult areas! The heat setting ranges from 260 degrees to 410 degrees depending on your needs! It also has a nice soft feel to it and is not too heavy at all. I love that it has reduced heat damage with its argan oil and keratin layered heated plates. I’m really impressed and planning to add to my regular hair routine!

This thing works wonderfully! I was nervous because I saw some reviews about the grip strength, but I am here to say that is user error. The grip has to have some give for you to be able to FLIP IT! If the grip was too tight, the whole feature wouldn’t work because you wouldn’t be able to glide the hair over. My daughter has hair that is incredibly difficult to staighten and I normally have to make 5 or 6 passes per section. This thing made easy work of her hair in one pass and I didn’t even have to use the highest setting. It is easier to learn to use it on someone else before trying on yourself. I also saw some reviews about the weight. I prefer the slight heaviness because it feels like a quality product and it helps keep the tension when you are gliding. I think it works amazing!

When I tell u its good now. The only thing I would say is I have thick curly 4c hair so I also bought the tymo blowout brush to dry my hair and then went back threw it with the flat iron brush my hair is thick again it was straight but wasnt press enough. I hate that I‘m writing this review for free, instead of getting some influencer money for it 😅 but I am SO happy after the first use of this straightener.I have ultra-thick 4c natural hair. Straightening my hair has caused tears before. Every hairdresser who‘s worked on me is shocked at how much hair I have. This product gave me GREAT results!!!

I would give this 3.5 stars because the straightening brush is awesome but the flat iron part is useless. The brush is pretty great at straightening my 4C kinky curly hair. LOVE that I can get close to my roots like I used to with a straightening/hot comb and I used it on the highest heat (410 degrees) for my hair. It has 4 temperature settings to choose from, but I only found the 410 degree setting to have enough heat to straighten my hair through to the ends. I am definitely keeping this, but truthfully it’s for the brush straightening feature and NOT the flat iron.Unfortunately the flat iron doesn’t close tight enough to really straighten or silk out my hair, so I do have to follow up with a regular flat iron after using this brush but the brush absolutely straightened from the root! Other flat irons close much tighter and you’re able to squeeze the plates to really help straighten out or add a curl to the hair, but that’s not an option with this flat iron because of how close it is to the brush head. I do wish the flat iron side was tighter so that it could be useful to use the brush side and go straight into the flat iron mode. That sadly did not work for me. Heats up quickly though. Would recommend either the caveat that you’ll have to finish your hair with another appliance (flat iron/curling iron/bevel iron) to really get that finished look.

This tool is my first entry into the “straightening brush” products, and all I can say is WOW!! This brush is very nice quality, weighted, and feels premium in hand. To all of the coily, kinky, curly, and textured hair ladies - This product is for YOU. Especially those of us in the type 4 family (type 3b & c too!). If you’ve ever used a pressing comb (or still do), it’s time to upgrade - technology has advanced!! Yay! I read a few reviews that were complaining about a couple of features, here are some tips:1. The flat iron is intended for smoothing - NOT straightening. The plates don’t touch so that you can pull the section of hair you are working on THROUGH it without needing a second pass. This is how to use it: Section the hair to the width of the brush. Make the sections much bigger/thicker than you would for normal flat ironing. Starting at the scalp, place your hair between the iron plates, with the brush side facing UP. Then start turning the brush towards your scalp, put the brush into your hair, and brush down the length of your hair while keeping your hold onto the ends of your hair as it passes through the plates. This will cause your hair to be straightened and soothed in one motion. Your hair will glide through the plates of the flat iron as you are brushing! It’s really amazing!!2. This tool will cut the time it takes to straighten your hair in HALF! Use much thicker sections than you normally would. At least twice as much. I think this will work best on shoulder length and beyond. Maybe “bob” or chin length hair too. It’s not for short hair at all.3. Temperature Control is easy to accidentally press while using, which is why I took off a star. But it heats really fast, has an auto shut-off feature, and gives consistent results. My hair lasted until wash day! (Used the TYMO heat protectant) You just have to get used to the button placement.4. This will not get close to your edges/ front hairline. I used my pencil flat iron for my edges. The nape area was perfect with just this brush/iron.Overall, I really am impressed by this tool. I wear my hair in a wash-n-go most of the year, but I wanted to straighten it for a trim this summer. This tool has me thinking I could start to straighten my hair more often. It will last about 5 months. After those months pass, my roots begin to pop up, and this really smooths it out easily.It really works, BUT:1. It will pull your hair if you don‘t know how to use it.2. I tried the flat part and then flipped the iron to the brush part, and it doesn‘t glide very well.*Otherwise, it‘s a really good product; I recommend it. This flat iron heats up quickly and has an adjustable temperature range from 265°F to 410°F. It does a nice job at smoothing and holding my hair once I get it positioned correctly, and I like that I can also use it to create waves, loose curls or flips. It’s perfect for touching up day-old hair and taming frizz or layers for a fresh look.That said, the flat iron part can be a little tricky to use. The plates don’t grab the hair as firmly as I’d like, so it can take a bit of adjusting and practice to get the right grip, which keeps it from feeling as user friendly as it could be.Since the tip can get hot, you may want to use a heat glove or just handle your hair rather than the tool itself when twisting it.It feels sturdy and well-made, the cord doesn’t get twisted up or in the way, and I like how efficient it is without frying my hair. Honest opinion. I was super excited to receive. I have not given up on this yet but honestly can‘t say yet it’s worth it. I have 3c/4a gray hair. I Started with a standard blow dryer with heat protectant. Pros Heated brush comb side is super fast It does make my hair more manageable Cons While in use you can accidentally increase the heat due to the design. It was frustrating and I had to stop at least 3xs to reduce the heat due to the accidental changes Product in your hair will cause buildup on the sides of the comb/ brush side If you have non chemically treated hair the partial straightness is short lived (even without contact with moisture) 3c/4a hair Lack of clamping on flat iron side may negatively impacts results. Does not provide salon type straightening on non chemically treated air I will try this later on a higher heat. The initial results was not impressing. However the customer service of this seller is phenomenal! Although this product may not be best for my particular hair type, this may work exceptionally for others.

Nice concept, but I was torn. I am 50/50 with this product. It’s not too heavy, but I can see this bothering my wrist since I suffer from a little carpal tunnel. The temperature control is good for both brush and flat iron. I think I’d prefer to keep them separate.

It has been ages since I’ve owned a flat iron and they have improved by leaps and bounds in the last few years. It is super easy to turn on, regulate the temperature, and keep an eye on the display. Heats up very fast. The clamp isn’t too tight and my hair glides right through, which has never happened with other irons–it always gets caught or pinched. I’ve never used one with a comb option and it was fun to experiment with! I have to say I didn’t quite figure out how to get a curl but I will keep experimenting. The number one drawback is that it is incredibly heavy. It is comfortable to hold, but I know I won’t be able to do a marathon straightening session all in one go. That said, it is an excellent deal at the current sale price of $49!

I love this tool! It completely replaced the need for two separate tools just to flatten my hair. It works really well on coarse hair, which I have. I would’ve given it 5 stars if the flat iron side clamped down a little tighter, but honestly, the product is still excellent. My hair came out smooth, nicely flattened, and it actually stayed that way. I also love the adjustable temperature settings. The glove is definitely needed (lol), and the brush works great for combing everything out. Overall, a fantastic tool!

i have the original TYMO which i love and works great, i got this for the flat iron feature, I found it a bit heavier that my other one and noticed the flat iron part did not straighten as well as a regular flat iron, it is great for curling though, i have very thick and long hair so that is also a factor. overall it is a good hair product and am happy with the purchase.

I’m a big fan of TYMO as a brand. I already own their Ionic Hair Straightening Brush and the CurlPro (which is honestly a lifesaver for curls—I recommend it to everyone), so I was excited to try this 2-in-1 straightener brush and iron to see how convenient it would be. Cons: The first and biggest thing to note is that this tool is heavy. During the first few uses, my arms got tired fairly quickly. Because of the design and weight, I also found it difficult to straighten my hair as close to the roots as I’d like. The straightening brush side also has a smaller surface area compared to my full-size TYMO straightening brush. Because of that, I feel it would take noticeably longer to straighten my entire head of hair. Pros: That said, the 2-in-1 design is very convenient, especially if you travel often and want to reduce the number of heated tools you pack. I also appreciate that this set includes heat-resistant glove and a large paddle brush—it makes the kit feel more complete and gift-worthy. However, for home use, I’m not sure this would be my everyday go-to. The weight alone makes it less comfortable, and I find my separate hair tools simply perform their individual jobs more efficiently. If I want curls, I’ll still reach for the TYMO CurlPro—it gives faster results with less effort and feels safer to use and I would have no chance of burning myself. For light straightening around my front strands, I usually use a lightweight mini straightener, which has worked well for me for years. I also don’t naturally gravitate toward straightening brushes for daily styling. Overall, I think this is a solid addition to TYMO’s product lineup, especially for travel or occasional use. Just be mindful of how you plan to use it—at home versus on the go—and factor in the heavier weight when deciding if it’s the right tool for you.

This Tymo hot comb/flat iron combo works well. I have 3a, 3b, and 3c hair textures. 3a in the back and 3b and 3c in the front and middle. This tymo combo straightened my hair within two swipes of the comb. The comb heated up quickly. The flat iron didn’t really work because it didn’t clamp down on the hair well. The power/temperature control button is on the handle, which resulted in me mistakenly pressing it while handling the appliance. This was disruptive. The comb doesn’t grab small hair at the hairline so it wasn’t useful for straightening rebellious gray hair at the roots.Overall, Four stars for the placement of the temperature control button, weak flat iron grip, and limited root contact. I’m glad I purchased the iron, though, because it met most of my expectations.

I really like this tool it‘s nice that it has the brush and a regular straightener. I used it on my wigs and it’s worked great other than the brush side was some what difficult to run through hair easily, but that could just be wig hair verses real hair.

I am always on the hunt for new hair straighteners and brushes, so I thought this one would be a great pick since it does both! This is a 5-in-1 hair straightener with many different options, which makes it super convenient to have on hand. I find the design nice and simple. The tool itself is a bit heavy though, so it can feel hard on the hand if held in the air for a long time. The space between the two ceramic plates is also a bit narrow, so it can be hard to style larger sections of hair at once. I have thin hair and not that much of it, so I can imagine it might be even trickier for someone with thicker hair. That said, it works really well! It straightens hair easily and quickly, leaving it soft and shiny. The brush side works just as effectively as the ceramic straightener. It can also combs and brings volume to my hair, which I appreciate! I love that it is designed to minimize heat damage, so my hair stays healthy and smooth. It also heats up fast, with multiple heat settings and recommended levels depending on hair type, which is great. One more downside however is that when it is hot, there is no safe stand or holder to set it down on, which would make it much more practical.

This surprisingly works for my hair. I still recommend traditional flat iron if you‘re trying to get the root of your hair but for the hair itself it does make it straighter than using regular flat irons. It’s just trying to get the root with this 2 in 1 requires a learning curve.

I was pleasantly surprised! I had never used a straighter comb/brush and was amazed how well it straightened. It came with a brush and a glove for heat protection.I tried both sides of the straighter. The flat plates barely open so if this is how you would primarily use it, you’re better off using a traditional straightener. This one is also a bit heavier/bulkier so I personally wouldn’t travel with it but still overall loved it! I have naturally wavy hair but it also straightens somewhat easily. It still takes several passes to straighten but this would be with any flat iron. I used the 375 heat setting. I’m showing a before and after (pardon my exhausted expression - much harder to conceal in my 40s)

Definitely a learning curve, but once you figure it out the results are amazing! This thing gets HOT and I made the mistake of lifting up the top part of my hair with one hand and brushing down towards my scalp, like a regular brush and the amount of heat was super intense on my scalp. If you lift your hair and brush from underneath, there’s no issue with the heat against your scalp. The flat iron part of the straightener needs to be used at a lower temp and doesn’t really provide a good hold while using it. There’s too much room between the plates. It straightens ok, but if you’re used to using your flat iron to add curl, this is not going to do that for you. This combo brush/flat iron is pretty heavy and a little difficult to use with arthritic hands. The 2-in-1 comes with some accessories, a heat protection glove and a really nice brush. All in all, it does its job after some practice. I won’t be using the flat iron part, as it’s kinda awkward for me. I will use the comb part because look at the results in my pictures! If you’re looking to invest in a good product, maybe look for the Tymo straighter brush minus the flat iron. It’s probably a lot lighter and less bulky, easier to handle.

Most people don‘t think I need to use a straightener but I’m going to review this for fine frizzy hair. The flat iron hair straightener brush from TYMO is a really great tool that is easy to use after you learn the best method for you. For example, I don’t really use the flat part. I love the brush part because it gets my hair straightness and softness on point. I don’t have to worry about it getting too hot so that it doesn’t burn my hair. The heat transfer is steady and fast to warm up. I prefer to use a plain flat iron or a barrel curler if I am going to curl my hair so I can’t speak to this dual device for its curling ability. The color of it is sleek and black, and the price is on point compared to other similar products. I wish TYMO included a storage pouch but the lack of one doesn’t affect my usage of the device.

Ok, so the brush part of it works great on this 4C! It was quick too. I sectioned my hair into 4 and it took like 12 minutes on the lowest setting. That thing gets super hot. But that flat iron part of it, is weak. It‘s not tight enough to grip your hair. I‘m not using that part again, but didn‘t need it.

Works good and as expected but by the design you can‘t put any pressure on the flat iron part, so if you wanted to use it alone I don‘t think you‘d get a good enough result however, I guess the disign is using both so, it works good. Was heavier than I expected as well. Used on medioum heat first time, haven‘t tried the high heat but I suspect it will be needed for my daughters 4c hair.

This is a great product for using the brush to straightening and remove kinks. But not for flat ironing because it does not grip the hair. Buy I believe this may be the design to combine combing with flat ironing.

It does get the job done. However, the comb part is chunky so I have to be clever trying to use and the flat iron part does not close all the way there is a gap so hair just kinda slips right through. I also had to get clever on that. For those of us with the “real" curly or coily hair. As myself hair is super think & mix of wavy/curly I used old rag and went ol skol to use with it, if you know what i mean. It did get straight which is what I wanted. And it does get hot DID NOT have to put all the way to highest setting. And there is NO smell of hair burning which is good. I did keep only because I really needed my hair done. And wasn‘t that expensive. Which is why I gave 4☆

Great tool. I’m still getting use it using it, but the first time my hair came out straight, and shiny. Saved time too. It’s been 3 days and my hair is still styled and no frizz. I would recommend and gift to others.

The only thing I don’t like is that the flat iron side doesn’t clamp as tight as a regular flat iron. You need to use two hands if you want it to clamp.I love everything else about though. I have really thick 4a/4b hair that usually takes about 30-45 minutes to roughly flat iron when pre-stretched. I can get through my hair in huge sections using the flip-pro in only 15-20 minutes. There’s no burning odor. My hair ends up shiny and bouncy. I definitely recommend.

Omg, love this product. Awesome on my natural coarse hair. The brush automatically straighten my hair. Great purchased investment. At first I was hesitant and thought this product would not work.

The build quality of this straightening iron is solid. It has some weight to it but straightens quickly once heated thoroughly. I have coarse thick semi-wavy hair and with cheaper straighteners I usually need to make several passes to get my hair super straight. With this straightener I can take bigger sections of my hair and simply make one pass as long as the temperature is hot enough (second to highest setting). There is a learning curve to using this type of straightener since it doesn’t grab the hair like other straightening irons. It doesn’t tug as hard like normal irons. It has a more gentle grip. As for the curling function it’s not the best so will not be replacing my curling iron. The curling feature gives semi wavy curls but it’s mostly flat because of the way the hair needs to be wrapped around and then pulled through the iron. The straightener is the primary function and so the consumer should only focus on that feature over the curling ability before purchasing.

The hair tool works well but is a little tricky to figure out. You have to read the instructions to figure out how to change temperature settings--it‘s not intuitive. I’m still not great at getting it to curl, but I think that’s probably my own fault and not a shortcoming of the product. It does straighten well, but only takes small amounts of hair. That works well for my fine, thin hair, but might be less ideal for thick or very curly hair. It takes a few passes to get the achieved look, which is not as fast as other irons I’ve used, but acceptable at this price point. It leaves my hair soft and shiny.

A stylishly elegant and quite weighty dual-function hair iron, you can both curl and straighten hair with it. Not quite sure what is producing “200 M ions" in this device. Not really suitable for short hair, may somewhat work to straighten it up. Remarkable results on long hair though. The iron has selection of five temperature settings displayed in degrees Fahrenheit. The indicator is made to look digital, but is pretty small in size and dull, only well readable for those with acute vision. One-button operation is easy to figure out, and perhaps easy to memorize the number of "clicks" needed to select your favorite mode. Because of its mass, this iron needs lengthy amount of time to cool down. This is not really convenient when traveling or "on the go". Some kind of silicone rubber mat or other type of safety rest would have been really helpful if it was sold together with this iron. The cardbox is sturdy, it looks good and giftable. Comes accompanied by an extra-wide and useful massaging comb. Not a bad product overall, and despite some minor shortcomings it will certainly have its rightful place in the washrooms of many.

I love Tymo products, when I saw this I knew I wanted to try it. It cuts the time of straightening in half. It is so easy to use and makes your hair nice and soft. Only thing sometimes for me if there is too much humidity the ends will curl back very easily if I just use the brush as if its not flattening the hair enough, but when using the flat iron part it definitely keeps the style locked in. I really love the versatility of this product.

This is quite easy to use. I have thin hair with a bit of a curl, and occasionally, I like to wear it straight. I didn‘t find this straightener pulled my hair uncomfortably, as some straighteners tend to do. It straightened quite quickly, and I didn’t have to go over and over the same piece of hair.

The straightner warms up very fast and stays at the same temperature even if it wasn‘t used for a while. I can now have the style I wanted but without the chemicals. I think the flat iron isn’t for my thin and shorter hair. The handle does not heat up.

This 2 in 1 hair straightener brush and flat iron has 5 heat settings. My daughter and I have thick hair so we have been using the higher heat settings. I do recommend using a silicone mat if you’re using the higher settings because the iron gets very hot. It warms up and cools down quickly which is great for saving time. You will need two hands to use the straightener because the hair will slide out otherwise. To best use the brush, make sure your hair is untangled and brushed out otherwise your hair will get stuck in it. Overall I think this is a decent straightener and I would recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hair tool from TYMO. The brush side glides through my hair easily without pulling or breaking and it only needs one pass through each section at 375 setting. The flat iron side doesn‘t have any tension so I have to brush and do a few pass through to get the same result as the brush side. It doesn’t pull or cause breakage either, though. During the first use I did ear tiny crackles as if my hair was wet but I think it’s just because it’s infused with healthy oils. It did not leave any grease or residue on my hair at all.I reccomend this hair tool not only for touch ups but even the initial flat ironing, it so quick and gentle. In case you’re looking for reference, I have 2B medium to low density and high porosity hair type.

This straightener heats up fast and is ready to go immediately to style your hair. My hair is in the middle between thick and thin, and is only slightly wavy, so it worked well with this tool. I was able to straighten my hair in one go for most of my head, but a couple of thicker pieces need a second pass to really straighten them out. I also tried the brush side on my hair, and I kind of liked this one better since it‘s able to more evenly separate my hair and straighten it. Though I can’t speak much about the health benefits of what this item claims to do, my hair did look and feel shiny afterwards! I do wish it came with some sort of protective mat though, because I felt like I couldn’t put the item directly on my counter without causing some damage since it’s was so hot.

This is great for my daughter who is learning how to do and style her own hair! It’s very easy to use. It has many different temperatures too which is wonderful. It straightens her thick hair very easily. It does seem to leave it a little on the dry side but we always use a heat protector to try to not let that be the case. I love how she can do it on her own and it has the brush to guide it. It heats up quickly, seems like good quality. I am super happy with it. I would recommend it.

I ordered this Straightener Brush because I have average thickness hair that is very curly when it air dries, and I wanted a tool that would smooth things without damage. It didn’t seem to hurt my hair, which is a big plus — it slides through easily. But honestly, it was maybe too easy: I found myself doing multiple passes because the hair kept sliding through without getting fully styled. With my curls, it helped make things manageable, but I still ended up finishing the ends with a curling iron to get the look I wanted. It did work quickly, and I love that I didn‘t have to worry about burning myself. I also like that you can easily customize your heat level.There’s definitely a learning curve with this tool. I’ll keep it in my cabinet and experiment with technique and sectioning before I give it a final verdict. For now, it’s a decent addition, just not as “one pass and done” as I hoped.

I love the two in one concept. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because the flat iron piece could have a stronger spring clamp. I have thin hair and it doesn’t feel like my hair is really gripped by the flat iron like I feel with other flat iron products. But please trust me this one works beautifully. It is just a sensory thing for me. I wish this was available years ago to avoid me wasting money on other brands. Totally worth trying.

Great product

i have long thick hair so a regular flat iron doesn’t cut it. With this i just section it and brush it like a normal brush. The non brush side is hard to use though but I only use it for touch up on stubborn spots. But if you intend on mainly using the non brush side i wouldn’t beg this. It’s hard to use that side. They also give you a free brush which I love that brush sm… also a free glove.

This makes doing my daughter’s hair extremely easier. My daughter has very frizzy hair and this makes it quick and simple to straighten. I just wish the combs were a little further apart. Worth every penny tho.

It‘s better than my CHI. It straightened my 4C hair. Next time I’ll try a lower heat setting.

The 2- 1 flat iron/hot comb is wonderful i have thick long hair and it did the job perfectly even my friends are asking what I use to straighten my hair because they want to buy it also . It is amazing 👏 🤩

This product is just ok, I have extremely thick 4c hair and I thought it would be better. The comb part work really nice, but the flatiron isn’t good. It has a space in between it and is hard to get the hair

Just what I need for my daughter to start doing her own hair. The flat iron part doesn‘t have a strong grip on the hair but the hot comb was perfect on her thick hair.

Still getting use to it but did a great job thus fare

I really like the well they call it the brush 2 it gets to the root of your hair great temps heats fast good quality. I had just the brush 2 before and loved made my hair look fresh and just like it had been pressed. Had to get another one finally quit working. If u dont flat iron much then get just the one without the flat iron. Overall great great invention for black hair and very effective.

My daughter is mixed black and Spanish. And this helps me to better handle her hair.

Its a great product got my 4c hair straightened however thr reason I can‘t give a full 5 star is that im having trouble using the flate iron

Works well on 4B hair after a blow dryer with a heat protectant. I‘m not so thrilled on how it works on 3B hair but I’m willing to go up on the temperature.

Brush is good but the flat iron part is too big space between plate.

I like it. Have the original one and decided to upgrade to this one. The only issue I have is my hand keeps hitting the power button and turning off the comb.

Mostly great, but the power button is in an unfortunate location. Your hand/fingers easily touch the button, changing the heat setting.

i really like that there are different temp settings and it only takes one pass through my hair to straighten it. the brush shape also allows me to easily brush closer to my scalp without burning my skin - BIG plus! overall, this brush cuts the time i spend straightening, almost in half. i deducted a point, though, because its a bit heavier.

I do like this straightener because it doesn’t leave that crease like traditional straighteners which was one of the reasons why I had bought this. However, because we all know this was coming, it says it doesn’t pull your hair yet It does occasionally pull out clumps of my hair. Which my hair is thin and I always make sure to comb it and make sure to section it. I will say overall I find this still better than a traditional because those would pull a lot more and often. Plus I like how fast this straightens my hair.

I‘m mixed with naturally curly hair. I was able to straighten my hair in 15 mins. Be sure to use your heat protector cuz it can get really hot.

Used for daughter‘s fine but curly hair. Was real easy to use, but leaves a little frizz. Goes much faster than a straightener but still needed to use on for frizz elimination. Keeping and will definitely use as it is much faster

It straightens pretty good

The flat iorn part doesn‘t close tight enough for my hair..

Works great. Hair can snag in the part between the comb and the handle though. Easy to use. It is too easy to change the setting accidentally while using it. The heat resistance glove comes in handy and I love the brush as well.

I saw so many great reviews on this Tymo flat iron. I found it heavy and awkward to use. It does a good job straighting but I prefer other Tymo flat irons to this one.

Love the brush and flat iron combination. However, the flat iron lacks tightness. Once the manufacturer works on making the flat iron tighter it would be a wonderful product for any hair type.

This is a nice straightener brush. My only complaint is the grip is not as tight as I would like, but there is a nice enough grip to get the job done. In addition and in my opinion a blow dryer brush gives the same results as this straightener.
